Dr. Amy Ha Truong

Dr. Amy Ha Truong was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota and received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2009. She is a compassionate and caring dentist who enjoys treating patients of all ages. Dr. Truong is the first accredited member of the International Association of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) in Minnesota and she is accredited in advanced training of biological dentistry, including certification in the Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique (SMART).

Dr. Truong is also certified in Invisalign, Tongue and Lip Tie Releases, and has taken continuing education courses in biological/holistic dentistry, esthetic/cosmetic dentistry, and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorder therapy. She is also a member of the Holistic Dental Association and was awarded the “Quality Care in a Caring Manner Award” by the University of Minnesota Dental School. In addition to her professional and personal successes, Dr. Truong is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Fun facts:

  1. When not working on smiles, Dr. Truong is often seen chasing her two full-of-life toddlers around.
  2. Dr. Truong started college at age 16, which allowed her to start dental school early at age 19.
  3. As a young girl Dr. Truong would notice people’s teeth, perhaps because smiles are a universal language? Her sister always joked she should be a dentist.
  4. Post-college, Dr. Truong lived and worked as an holistic dentist in Los Angeles to hone her skills.
